Lempicka

Artist Lempicka had an instantly recognisable painting style which sets her career out as being innovative and memorable. This blog will look into detail at the life of Tamara de Lempicka who was quite the celebrity in the first half of the 20th century and known to be a real socialite as well as an inspired artist. Polish Lempicka had a lifestyle which was not in keeping with her traditional upbringing and the headlines generated by her behaviour helped to promote her art, though it was good enough not to need this unintended PR work.

This Polish painter was known for spending time in public with many other high profile artists and found this a great way to spend her time away from her canvases. She would always be interested in technical discussion but additionally would discuss all sorts of topics with her sociable friends and wanted relationships which did not just consist of artistic conversations.

Portraits were the fodder of Lempicka and she produced each with in her characteristic Art Deco style, with a consistency similar to the likes of Fernando Botero, only in using quite a different style. This artist was also well known for them adult-only themes which reflected her own strong sexuality which became apart of her artistic approach and these passions fuelled her choice of content.
